The language learning journey is a roller-coaster ride. It’s full of ups and downs but at the end, you walk away with no regrets. Here at Learn Languages From Home, we want to hold your hands virtually and help you learn your desired language faster and better.
No matter which language you want to learn, be it Spanish or Swedish, we’d like to point you in the right direction towards a well-rounded fluency. And by well-rounded fluency, we mean that you should be able to read, write, speak and understand the language.
That’s why we are advocates of a multi-faceted approach to learning languages. This means using a mix of resources—such as apps, books, podcasts, videos, and online classes and tutors. (Yes, Duolingo’s awesome, but it’s not going to get you all the way there alone.)
For some languages—like French—there’s a huge abundance of resources available. But for others, it can be a tad trickier to find what you need. And that’s why we’re here to help!
We also strongly believe that languages can be learnt from the comforts of home, without the need to splash out the dough on traditional language classes.
But hang on—who are we exactly? Well, the person behind the keyboard is Dina (hello!) and I work with a team of language experts and learners from around the world. Together, we’re harnessing our knowledge to give you the best language guides, tips and tricks, and other fun content that you’ll love.
We hope to be a positive influence in your language learning journey and we implore you to never, ever throw in the towel.
Meet our team
Dina
Founder
Dina’s love for languages stems from her travels. She loves to talk to locals, even if she’s making a fool out of herself with butchered pronunciation and broken sentences. She’s proud to be pretty fluent in French. Apart from that, she speaks English, Singlish (the Singaporean variant of English), Malay, and a bit of the local lingua in whichever country she’s at right now.
